Tail is on the hydra...and color schemes

This hydra taking some time. The tail and the legs are on now the heads.

Slowly gluing together the more Repeater xbow elves.

Next step is to figure a color scheme and I think what I will going to end up doing first is the following, specifically for the warriors:

Prime White
Do a wash of dark purple (gaunt purple)

Or a blood red on the white as a wash, maybe both....

Hydra Hijinx

Good news: Been working on the Dark Elf Army, Got 32 warriors put together so far and part of a hydra.

Now for those of you that don't know, GW likes to put a coating of something on their metal, or maybe the fact it got oxidized a little , or something, but what ever it is makes it BITCHIN HARD to glue metal to metal. So what I go to do is file off just enough of the surface o get i shiny, add glue, wait a day and it is rock solid.

If that does not work then I must resort to pinning (this is a pain).

My initial Army List for the Dark Elves was going to be 750 but I was able to help convince the organizer of the league to go higher because the way the mechanics work for Fantasy is that 750 does not work well (one Monstrous creature goes around stomping the other army flat).

so we are now starting at 1000 points.

Thought was initially 1 Hydra, 40 Warriors with Spears and a shield, and 20x2 repeaters and a sorceress.

So now I get to add cold ones and beef up the armies a little.

So it begins...Dark Elves

hmmm First post in Blogging here, well this is where I put my musings for all the world to see.

So first up, Working on 5 armies at the moment for Warhammer 40K.

First is a tyranid Army I have to mold/Create/Cannibalize, due to those GW people who make sure you have to mod to get the right units (thi is irritating). But in the process turns out I am a good modder (the irony).

Next is my woodelf army whic hhas given me mor razor thin paper cuts from the minis then any other army to date. I am putting this one on hold.

Next is my Tau army which is put together just not painted, I had great fun in an escalation league with this army and got a shit ton more wins then losses

After that is the Space Marine Biker gang army

And last but not least for hte escalation is the the Dark Elves Army. I got this mostly due to the Monterous Creatures (MC) and well pirates. Hydra, Harpies and Pirates oh my.
